We are flying Lufthansa to Europe; into Frankfurt and out of Paris.
For almost three years, I lived in Philadelphia and worked in Seattle. Later I had a gig in Palo Alto for six months, both as a consultant. I commuted via airplane and used most of the major carriers during that time.
When judging airlines, I use the Alaska Airlines Standard.
It’s a pretty simple standard, do all the personnel on the ground and in the air treat you like a paying customer, especially when flying coach?
Most US carriers do not meet this standard (Old US Airways, United). Some meet it haphazardly (Delta, Old American). Alaska Airlines always met it.
I’ve only flown Lufthansa once now, but thus far they have met the Alaska Airlines Standard.
